This Glory Bowl Dressing Recipe that is inspired by the white water cooks recipe book is a must-try. The glory bowl dressing is made with tamari, apple cider vinegar, tahini, and garlic resulting in a savory and creamy tahini salad and nutritional yeast salad dressing.
I like to serve the glory bowl dressing over a bed of spinach, topped with grated beets, carrots, feta cheese, and roasted tamari almonds. So nutritious and yummy!
You can also make buddha bowls with cooked rice and crispy tofu, such as this glory bowl vegan buddha bowl for a mouth-watering dinner or healthy lunch.
If you have never made the whitewater cooks glory bowl dressing, you are in for a treat!
This nutritional yeast dressing is worth trying at least once. If you like it, you will be addicted forever.
This recipe is slightly modified from the original version to contain no refined vegetable oils. Instead, I use cold-pressed olive oil instead of canola oil. Cold pressed olive oil is a much healthier oil than canola oil which is highly refined and rancid, especially when bought in clear plastic containers.
For this reason, I used cold-pressed olive oil that is stored in a dark glass bottle. (All oils should be stored in dark glass bottles to prevent oxidation). Check out this post on everything you need to know about healthy fats and unhealthy fats.
The original version of the salad dressing is found in the white water cooks recipe book, and has been a very popular menu item at the whitewater ski resort, which comes from the little town of Nelson, B.C (Canada). This funky and bustling town is only a couple of hours from my hometown. Check it out if you are ever traveling through B.C.
This glory bowl salad dressing has a unique/original flavor but very popular among those who live in Nelson and the surrounding areas. I have made the well-known glory bowl recipe countless times, and if you like the flavor, you will never tire of it.

Adding tofu or chickpeas for plant protein combined with brown rice yields a balanced, tasty, healthy meal. Store any unused leftover dressing in the fridge to make follow-up meals such as this glory bowl vegan buddha bowl.
This vegan lemon tahini dressing is another delicious creamy dressing with tahini.
Benefits of the glory bowl sauce
Nutritional yeast has a nutty/cheesy flavor that is a great substitute for cheese for those that are intolerant to dairy. It is exceptionally high in all the B vitamins needed to make energy in the body, including vitamin B 12
Olive oil is a healthy fat full of monounsaturated fatty acids. Cold pressed olive oil is always a staple in my fridge to make homemade salad dressing with.
Apple cider vinegar has many health benefits, including optimizing blood sugar levels and breaking down harmful biofilms in the gut.
Tamari is a fantastic alternative to soy sauce and is gluten-free, thus a great choice for anyone with a gluten or wheat food intolerance.
The whitewater cookbook was one of the first recipe books I ever purchased and inspired me to get into the kitchen to make some new healthy meals. Sometimes, we need a little inspiration and a great recipe such as this glory bowl dressing to start eating healthier.

How long this will store in the fridge?
It should store for at least 1 week in the fridge. I usually use mine up within a week so I’m not to sure how much longer it would last for over a week 🙂
