7 Delicious Healthy Salad Recipes for Weight Loss

April 24, 2020 by Amber

These healthy salad recipes for weight loss are fantastic for cleansing the liver. Vegetables are low in calories yet filled with phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals that are essential for a healthy liver and weight loss.
Healthy salads are a part of my daily diet as salads made with colorful vegetables are extremely nutrient-dense and filled with anti-inflammatory antioxidants. There are so many health reasons as to why I eat and recommend salads, but I also love eating a good homemade salad.

A delicious healthy salad is all about making a homemade dressing! When you learn how to make a couple of different homemade salad dressings it becomes easy to incorporate salads into your daily diet.

All you need is a couple of healthy salad recipes that you love for you to start craving salads!

Yup, I just said that…. As you start to eat healthier you will crave salads because your body loves and needs the nutrition found in vegetables. Once you find some healthy weight loss salads that you love your body will start to crave it making it easier to eat healthily!

I eat salads every day because I look forward to eating my delicious healthy salads and feel great as a result. But there is no way that I would love eating salads if it only consisted of some boring salad mix with a store-bought dressing which is almost always filled with unhealthy fats.

So, if you are looking for some salad recipes for weight loss that taste amazing let me tell you that it is all about the homemade salad dressing and learning how to combine different vegetables to make the most amazing, nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory, liver cleansing and antioxidant-rich salads that are delicious and nutritious.

Vegetables of all variety and leafy greens are the best foods for weight loss and reversing insulin resistance as they are low in calories yet filled with vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants, and fiber which are required for optimal detox and health.

If you need some healthy salads for weight loss or general health you have got to try any of the following salads that are bursting with flavor, color, and nutrition.

These salads and homemade salad dressings are each unique to provide variety for your taste buds. While I often throw random salads and dressings together without any recipe I always come back to these healthy salad dressing recipes to guide me in replicating my favorite salads and homemade salad dressings.

I have learned to write down my best recipes so that I can easily make and perfect the recipe in the future. Sometimes my best salads can be the ones with no recipe but then I am always kicking myself as I am not able to make it the same again.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and adjust any recipe but when you got it just right be sure to write your favorite salad dressing recipe down…. Or pin it to your healthy eating Pinterest board!

These healthy salad dressing recipes for weight loss are all made with cold-pressed oils as the processing of fats determines the quality. Having a few healthy fats in homemade salad dressings helps with the absorption of the fat-soluble nutrients A, D, E, and K while also providing satiety.

If you have weight loss goals be mindful of the amount of salad dressing used as fats found in oils are calorie-dense. Making a homemade salad dressing out of cold-pressed oils is way healthier than storebought salad dressings that are made with highly processed, oxidized fats high in omega 6 fat which are pro-inflammatory and often out of balance with the omega 3 fats.

Here are my top 7 nutritious and delicious healthy salad recipes for weight loss, each with their own easy to make homemade salad dressing.
