This lemon tahini dressing recipe has been my new favorite salad dressing. The tahini dressing recipe is dairy free, light and refreshing. I like this vegan tahini dressing recipe over romaine lettuce with red pepper, broccoli, carrots, roasted tamari almonds and goats feta cheese. So yummy!
Lemon Tahini Dressing
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tbsp tahini
3 tbsp water
2 tbsp cold pressed olive oil
1 tbsp rice malt syrup
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 small clove garlic
1/2 tsp gluten free tamari
* To make this tahini dressing recipe measure all ingredients into a mason jar and blend using an immersion blender.
*Serve this vegan lemon tahini dressing over romaine lettuce, with chopped carrots, red pepper, broccoli, tamari almonds and feta cheese.
Nutrition Tip ~ Eating fresh raw salads that include the colours of the rainbow is a great way to get in a wide variety of micronutrients. So many vitamins and minerals work together and often require another vitamin or mineral to act as a co-factor for specific functions to take place in the body, which is why you want to get all the nutrients in the diet. Supplementing with 1 vitamin or mineral sometimes doesn't help if other co-factors are not supplied as well.
