Apple Cider Vinegar and Cinnamon Drink for Diabetes and Weight Loss

August 25, 2021 by Amber

appple cider vinegar and cinnamon drink for Weight Loss and Fatty Liver

This warm apple cider vinegar and cinnamon drink for diabetes is excellent for fatty liver, insulin resistance, and weight loss. One of the best ways to take apple cider vinegar for insulin resistance is warmed up with lemon, cinnamon, and honey. The apple cider vinegar with cinnamon blends beautifully and is the perfect combination for weight loss and lowering blood sugar levels.

Lemon adds a citrus twist, is alkalizing, and is a phenomenal liver cleansing fruit. A touch of honey is used to sweeten the apple cider vinegar drink. Substituting honey for erythritol in this apple cider vinegar and cinnamon drink for diabetes is a great sugar substitute for diabetes as it has minimal effects on blood sugar levels.

Apple cider vinegar and cinnamon benefits

Taking apple cider vinegar and cinnamon for weight loss is an excellent combination due to their blood sugar-lowering effects. ACV is great for reducing fatty liver and thus promoting weight loss. A fatty liver is one of the reasons why people struggle to lose weight, especially abdominal fat.

Fatty liver is an underlying cause of insulin resistance and weight gain. Studies have demonstrated the benefits of apple cider vinegar for reducing fatty liver and obesity. ACV also improves insulin sensitivity and lowers fasting blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics or women with gestational diabetes.

Inflammation is another underlying cause of weight gain and insulin resistance. Cinnamon is food for weight loss as it is a potent antioxidant that helps to reduce inflammation. Studies also show the beneficial effects of cinnamon for lowering blood sugar levels and improving insulin sensitivity.

Weight gain, insulin resistance, and fatty liver are intimately connected; therefore, it should not be surprising that cinnamon and apple cider vinegar are beneficial for all conditions. This apple cider vinegar, lemon, cinnamon, and honey drink kills three birds with one stone.

I love to sip on this warm apple cider vinegar drink in the evening before bed. It reminds me of Christmas and cold winter days in Canada, where a hot apple cider vinegar drink warms the belly and hands.

This apple cider vinegar drink with cinnamon for weight loss comes together in 5 minutes and is made with four ingredients only:

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Lemon juice
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon

A splash of fresh-pressed apple juice would complement the ACV but is not necessary. I am sure you will enjoy this hot apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, honey, and lemon drink for weight loss, especially on a chilly day. If you find yourself wanting to enjoy an apple cider vinegar drink for weight loss in the heat of summer, you can serve it chilled with a couple of ice cubes!

It can help people lose weight and lower blood sugar levels. Apple cider vinegar is a high-histamine food so that is not beneficial for people with histamine intolerance. Aside from that, I am not aware of any side effects, although any food or drink can cause reactions in sensitive individuals.

Is it best to drink at night or in the morning empty stomach or full?

I would drink it on an empty stomach before meals in the am or pm. I took straight apple cider vinegar in the evening before bed which helped me to lower my fasting blood sugar in the morning 🙂
