April 25, 2026 by Amber

This easy tahini sauce is one of those simple staples that makes eating more vegetables feel effortless. It comes together in just 2 minutes, and all you have to do is measure and stir the ingredients together for a creamy, flavorful sauce that goes with everything.

My favorite way to use this homemade tahini sauce is drizzled over steamed green vegetables like kale and broccoli. The savory, slightly salty, umami flavor combined with a gentle heat from the sriracha makes even simple greens taste so good. It is one of those recipes you will come back to again and again when you want something quick, nourishing, and full of flavor.

This tahini sauce for vegetables is also incredibly versatile. You can use it in stir fries with vegetables, rice, and chicken, drizzle it over bowls, or use it as a dipping sauce. It adds richness and flavor without needing complicated ingredients or extra prep time.

This easy tahini sauce is:

  • Ready in just 2 minutes
  • Made with simple pantry ingredients
  • Creamy, savory, and slightly spicy
  • Perfect as a sauce to serve over steamed greens
  • Vegan and naturally gluten free

It is one of those easy tahini sauce recipes that works for everyday meals and makes healthy eating feel easy.

Ingredients for tahini sauce including tahini, water, nutritional yeast, sriracha, and tamari laid out on a countertop

Tahini Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 teaspoons tamari
  • 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha

How to Make This Easy Tahini Sauce

This is one of the easiest tahini sauce recipes to make.

Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and stir until smooth and creamy. That’s it.

If you prefer a thinner consistency, simply add a little more water and stir again until you reach your desired texture.

Flavor and Texture Notes

This creamy tahini sauce has a rich, smooth texture that coats vegetables beautifully. The tahini gives it that classic nutty base, while the tamari adds a savory depth and the nutritional yeast brings a subtle cheesy flavor.

The sriracha adds a gentle heat without overpowering the sauce, making it a perfect balance of savory, slightly spicy, and ultra creamy.

Tips and Substitutions

  • Add more water if you want a thinner, more pourable sauce
  • Add more sriracha for a spicier tahini sauce
  • Add more tamari if you prefer a saltier flavor
  • Add more nutritional yeast if you love that cheesy, umami taste

You can easily double this recipe if you want a larger batch for using with a big stir fry.
