When life gives you lemons, you have to make this blended lemonade with fresh lemons and honey. This blended lemonade recipe tastes zesty and extra lemony. The peel of one lemon is blended with the pulp and lemon juice resulting in a flavourful and extra lemony homemade lemonade.

How to make blended lemonade

It is super easy to make homemade blended lemonade, although you will require a good quality high-speed blender, such as the Vitamix or optimum 9200 blenders. A regular blender may work as well, but you may need to blend for longer or cut the lemon into smaller chunks.

This easy blended lemonade recipe only takes 5 minutes to make and is made with three ingredients only. You will need three lemons, two peeled and one thoroughly washed with the peel left intact. Sweeten the lemonade with ¼ cup honey and two tablespoons of coconut sugar, then add one liter of water.

Start by washing one lemon and peeling the lemons: A total of 3 lemons, one whole lemon with the peel, and two peeled lemons. Cut each lemon into quarters.

Place two cups of water in the blender with the quartered lemons, honey, and coconut sugar. Pulse until the lemon is finely chopped. Add the remaining water and blend on high for 30 seconds.

Strain the blended lemonade through a nut milk bag and into a jug or glass jar to filter out the pulp and peel for an ultra-smooth and tasty homemade lemonade.

Blending one lemon with the peel adds the best fresh lemon flavor and provides extra nutrients found in the lemon rind. For an extra lemony lemonade, you can blend the peel of all three lemons, although it can taste a bit more bitter. For this reason, I like to only mix one lemon with the peel for the perfect lemon taste.

Serve this blended lemonade chilled with a couple of ice cubes for a healthy drink to enjoy with friends and family on a hot summer’s day.

Benefits of a homemade lemonade with fresh lemons

This alkalizing and immune-boosting fresh lemonade is perfect for sipping on at the first sign of a sore throat. I swear fresh lemon and honey is the best natural remedy for a sore throat. Whenever I feel a sore throat coming on, I immediately buy a bunch of fresh lemons to have straight with honey in a tea and as this fresh lemonade.

You can also spice up this blended lemonade with fresh ginger root, which has remarkable immune-supportive properties. Lemons are one of the best alkalizing and liver cleansing fruits.

I like to combine this fresh lemonade with orange juice and a greens powder to alkalize and energize my body. Lately, I have had ¼ cup of homemade lemonade with ¼ cup orange juice and a teaspoon of greens powder every morning upon rising.

As a result, I have been feeling great with more energy. I am a first-time mom with a newborn; any extra energy and nutrition is a lifesaver to combat the busy days and disrupted sleep.

This easy, healthy, immune-boosting blended lemonade is bursting with flavor. It is refreshing, alkalizing, and so damn tasty. As the saying goes, with life gives you lemons, you have to turn them into lemonade.

So get some fresh lemons to make this homemade lemonade.
