12 High Protein Fruit Smoothies

March 3, 2026 by Amber

Make the best tasting high protein fruit smoothies using frozen fruit and a variety of protein sources including protein powder, hemp seeds, collagen powder, chia seeds, and soy milk. These smoothies are completely fruit based with no vegetables added, so the natural sweetness and flavor of the fruit truly shine.

Four high protein fruit smoothies in glass jars, including berry, mango, and banana flavors, arranged in a square collage. this post

If you love fruit smoothies but also want something that actually keeps you full, this collection of high protein fruit smoothies is for you. Every recipe included contains over 20 grams of protein while still delivering thick, creamy texture and bright fruit flavor.

The reason these high protein fruit smoothies taste so good is because the flavor of each fruit is allowed to truly shine. Instead of masking everything with a full scoop of overly sweet protein powder, only half a scoop of vanilla protein powder is used so it complements the fruit rather than overpowering it. The natural sweetness from frozen berries, mango, pineapple, cherries, and peaches does most of the work, creating smoothies that taste fresh and balanced.

When developing these high protein smoothie recipes, flavor and texture were always the priority. These are not the typical “add a full scoop of protein powder and call it done” smoothies. Instead, I used different combinations of protein sources such as hemp seeds, collagen powder, soy milk, chia seeds, and protein powder to create the best possible taste, creamy texture, and overall nutrition.

Using frozen fruit is the key to creating thick and creamy smoothies that taste naturally sweet and flavorful. When blended with quality protein sources, you get protein fruit smoothies that are satisfying enough for breakfast, post workout recovery, or a busy afternoon when you need something nourishing and refreshing. This collection of fruit smoothies are thick, naturally sweet, and satisfying without tasting artificial or overly sweet.

Boost your antioxidant intake with one of my favorite smoothie ingredients, blueberries. Blueberries are among the most antioxidant rich fruits and taste incredible in smoothies, especially in this high protein blueberry smoothie made creamy with frozen mango and soy milk.

This refreshing and creamy blueberry protein smoothie is packed with antioxidants, plant protein, and gut friendly fiber. It delivers 24 grams of protein from Truvani Vanilla Plant Protein, soy milk, and hemp seeds, making it an excellent option for post workout recovery, a nourishing snack, or a balanced breakfast on busy mornings.

Frozen blueberries provide vibrant color and powerful antioxidants while mango adds natural sweetness and a smooth texture without overpowering the blueberry flavor. A splash of fresh lemon juice brightens the smoothie and enhances the natural fruit flavors.

Unsweetened soy milk creates a rich, dairy free base, and hemp seeds add healthy fats and additional plant protein. If you love antioxidant rich fruit smoothies that are both refreshing and satisfying, this high protein blueberry smoothie is a must try.

Cherries are one of my favorite antioxidant rich fruits, and they truly shine in this bright and creamy cherry protein smoothie. The sweet flavor of frozen cherries paired with a splash of fresh lemon juice creates a refreshing depth that feels vibrant rather than overly sweet.

A small amount of mango enhances the texture without taking away from the bold cherry flavor, giving this protein cherry smoothie a smooth and creamy fruit base that tastes delicious.

This fruit smoothie with cherries is naturally rich in vitamin C and powerful antioxidant compounds from cherries that are beneficial for liver health. That vibrant red color are all those beneficial antioxidants shining through.

Mango is one of my favorite tropical fruits and makes one of the best tasting high protein fruit smoothies when combined with soy milk, vanilla protein powder, collagen peptides, and a splash of fresh lemon juice. The frozen mango creates a naturally sweet and ultra creamy base without needing banana, while the lemon adds just enough brightness to lift the tropical flavor.

With 30 grams of protein from soy milk, plant based protein powder, and collagen peptides, this mango protein smoothie is both satisfying and healthy. It is naturally rich in vitamin C along with key minerals like copper, folate, iron, and vitamin B6. The combination of collagen and a half scoop of plant protein keeps the texture silky without the chalkiness that can come from using too much protein powder.

#5 Orange Protein Smoothie

This creamy orange protein smoothie tastes like a healthy orange creamsicle, thanks to frozen orange segments, fresh orange juice, and a generous touch of zest. Freezing the orange first is the key to creating a thick, chilled texture that feels indulgent rather than watery, while banana and raw cashews add extra creaminess. The bright citrus flavor truly shines through, especially with a small squeeze of lemon to balance the natural sweetness and enhance the refreshing orange vanilla profile.

If I had to pick one flavor I was most surprised by, it would be this orange smoothie. It took a couple of tries to get the perfect creamy texture with real orange flavor shining through, but I promise this one will not disappoint. The key to making the best tasting high protein orange smoothie is using frozen orange along with a splash of orange juice and fresh zest for that vibrant, bright citrus flavor.
