The best-guided meditations I have ever come across for cultivating a sense of relaxation and peace are Sarah Blondin’s meditations which you can find on her live awake podcast, insight timer, or youtube.
While I am all about diet and nutrition, I know that mindset, meditation, and reducing stress are crucial for optimal health. My sister is a mindset enthusiast and hooked me on Sarah Blondin’s meditations.
Initially, I listened to her accepting change, learning to surrender, and transforming fear meditations on insight timer through links my sister sent me.
I fell in love with all three of these meditations and would listen to them daily, but then I discovered her live awake podcast. I kid you not; I have listened to EVERY SINGLE ONE of her meditations on her live awake podcast, along with her most recent ones on the free insight timer meditation app. Yes, they are that good!
Every one of Sarah Blondin’s guided meditations are amazing and always leaves me with a sense of peace, well-being, and relaxation. I must say that learning to surrender, accepting change, and transforming fear are still some of my top Sarah Blondin meditations.
Many of us know that we should meditate for our mental and emotional health but often put it aside, including me, but since having a baby, I have made a conscious effort to take time to meditate. Listening to guided meditations has been essential in helping me to cultivate inner peace, calmness, and patience so that I can soothe my baby and be the best mom I can be.
It is easy to turn to emotions such as anger, fear, or frustration when things don’t go our way and are out of our control or when the world seems crazy. But it is our homework to learn how to cultivate positive emotions and emotional resilience through meditation.
One of the gifts my daughter taught me is to surrender and let go of my to-do list and instead sit and give presence, love, and cuddles to my baby girl. The learning to surrender meditation by Sarah Blondin helped to reinforce this.
But you could also say that my baby girl demanded this from me. She was a baby that loved to be held all the time and wouldn’t stay asleep during the day unless she was napping on me, which lasted for the first six months.
If I put her down, she would wake up and then be fussy and cry if I did not hold her, which was the exact opposite of what I imagined the beginning of motherhood to be like. I thought I would be blogging away as she slept in her cot or swung in a swing beside me. (yes, I was a little naïve)
Instead, I had to let go of my to-do list and work expectations over and over and over again. But I must say Sarah Blondin’s meditations helped me immensely to enjoy the moment, let go and maintain emotional resilience, which can be trying when you are sleep-deprived with a fussy baby.
Many people run around with a sense of urgency and a never-ending to-do list with no time to meditate, which causes us to lose the enjoyment of the moment. This lifestyle can also cause overwhelm and stress, which is detrimental to our health in many ways.
A great way to reduce stress and create emotional well-being so that you can feel good and have a better day is by practicing a 10-20 minute guided meditation such as Sarah Blondin’s.
I love Sarah Blondin’s mediations as she has a beautiful voice that is so easy to listen to as her words resonate and speak to your soul. As the saying goes, if you don’t have time to meditate, you really need to meditate.
While there are millions of guided meditations, I always come back to Sarah Blondin for a quick meditation that leaves me calm and relaxed. For me, meditation is about releasing negative energy and creating a feeling of well-being, and Sarah Blondin’s meditations help me to do that.
I challenge you to try listening to one of her guided meditations and experience for yourself how it can shift your sense of well-being and, thus, your life. Whatever your challenge is, there is something for you 😊
