Mango Coconut Smoothie | Healthy, Tropical & Creamy

June 3, 2018 by Amber

This mango coconut smoothie is tropical, creamy, and refreshing with soft underlying coconut flavors. Cool down with this ultra smooth and creamy mango and coconut milk smoothie that feels like a treat but tastes clean and fresh.

I wanted this tropical mango smoothie to have both creamy and refreshing qualities, so I used a combination of coconut milk, frozen mango, banana, and lime. Lite coconut milk provides a light, smooth texture without making the smoothie heavy, while frozen mango creates a naturally thick and creamy consistency. Banana adds just enough body to enhance the texture without overpowering the tropical mango flavor, and lime brightens everything with a clean, refreshing finish.

Creamy, smooth, and refreshing with tropical notes perfectly describe this smoothie. It has an ultra smooth texture that feels indulgent without being overly rich. Mango provides natural sweetness, while lime enhances the flavor and prevents the smoothie from tasting flat, giving it a vibrant and refreshing tropical taste.

This vegan mango coconut smoothie is made with mango, banana, coconut milk, lime, and a small touch of maple syrup for a bright tropical flavor that is lightly creamy without being heavy. If you are looking for a coconut milk mango smoothie that tastes creamy yet refreshing, this recipe delivers a perfectly balanced tropical flavor with a smooth, clean finish.

Mango Coconut Smoothie Ingredients

1.5 cups frozen mango
1/2 medium banana
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust thickness with a splash of coconut milk if needed.
  4. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.

Tips And Substitutions

• Add an extra squeeze of lime for more brightness if desired.
• If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add an additional 1 teaspoon of maple syrup or 5 drops of liquid monk fruit sweetener, which is my favorite non nutritive sweetener.
• Use frozen mango for the best thick and creamy texture.

I used Silk Original Coconut Milk which only has 4.5 grams of fat per 1 cup. 4 of those grams are saturated fats which can increase insulin resistance but it is still much lower than full fat coconut milk from a can and gives a light, yet still delicious coconut flavor with a creamy texture. If you prefer a creamier smoothie you can use a higher fat coconut milk.
