Anti-Inflammatory Curcumin Latte Recipe Drink

November 7, 2019 by Amber

Anti-Inflammatory Curcumin Latte Recipe

Gotta love this anti-inflammatory curcumin latte drink with hints of cinnamon for a natural sweetness that is divine. Did you know that curcumin is the extract out of the turmeric root that contains anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce inflammation in the body? Only 3-5 percent of the turmeric root is curcumin which is why this curcumin latte is like liquid gold that tastes delicious.

If you’re looking for the best anti-inflammatory drink it doesn’t get much better than this homemade anti-inflammatory drink made with 100 % pure curcumin powder that has a velvety smooth texture and flavor that blends beautifully with cinnamon and coconut milk.

Curcumin vs Turmeric – Why choose 100 percent pure curcumin over turmeric powder?

First off pure curcumin tastes way better!! Yup no pungent overpowering turmeric taste is left in your mouth, instead curcumin has a much lighter and smoother taste that will leave you sipping and savoring every last drop of this curcumin latte.

If you are looking for the anti-inflammatory health benefits that turmeric offers then pure curcumin is the way to go as curcumin is the extract out of turmeric with the health-promoting and anti-inflammatory properties to help with inflammatory conditions such as joint pain, IBS, Crohn’s, eczema, back pain, arthritis, etc.

Since turmeric is approximately only 3 – 5 percent curcumin you would need to consume WAY more turmeric to get the same benefits of curcumin…. And simply put it the amount needed for the anti-inflammatory properties would not fit into a turmeric latte, but with pure curcumin powder, all you need is ½ tsp to reap benefits from the curcumin latte.

Curcumin is also a fat-soluble nutrient so, to increase the bioavailability of curcumin it is best mixed with fat to increase the absorption of this amazing fat-soluble compound. Mixing the curcumin with coconut milk is one of the best ways to get curcumin into your diet while enhancing the bio-availability of the curcumin.

Enjoy this divine anti-inflammatory hot drink before bed or substitute your morning coffee with this curcumin cinnamon latte…. Did I just say that the curcumin latte is good enough to replace a morning coffee? Yup, it’s that good!

Inflammation is also one of the root causes of weight gain so lowering inflammation in the body can also help with weight loss, win-win there. You may also need to eliminate inflammatory foods as well and lower insulin levels but this curcumin latte can help with the inflammation component of weight gain (join my weight loss challenge here) The addition of cinnamon also helps to balance blood sugar and insulin levels.

Ok, now for the curcumin latte that you have all been waiting for …… it’s super easy!

Curcumin Latte Recipe

1 cup coconut milk ( I use the coco quench brand )
½ tsp of pure curcumin powder
¼ tsp cinnamon

I use a milk frother to make this curcumin cinnamon latte. All you need to do is place all the ingredients into the milk frother, place the lid on top, press the start button and wait for the frother to shut off and you are left with a perfectly hot curcumin latte.

Alternatively, you can place all the ingredients into a small pot, give a little whisk and heat until perfectly warm.
