If you want minimalist shower organization ideas to turn your shower from cluttered and ugly into something simple and beautiful, this post is for you.
Recently, I moved into a small carriage house with a standing shower, and my previous metal shower caddy looked hideous, especially since it clashed with the matte black fixtures and wasn’t hung properly. Plus, it was filled with multiple bottles that were rarely, if ever, used and were just taking up space.
Like, did I really need three bottles of body wash in my caddy because my partner never takes them out and keeps buying more without removing the old ones? Nope!
I’m a minimalist at heart, and as a cleaner and a Taurus, I love beautiful, clean spaces. But creating a beautiful space doesn’t have to cost a lot. You just need to declutter and assess what products you really need.
It really can be as simple as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Simplify your life and accentuate the beauty of simplicity with a little greenery.
As a cleaner, I’ve been in many people’s homes, and I’ve noticed how too much clutter takes away from spaces that could be truly beautiful with simple styling and decluttering.
Moving into a smaller space has made me question what I really need and which products I actually love. I challenge you to ask yourself the same questions about your shower products.
Do you really need multiple brands of shampoo and conditioner, old soap bars, and empty bottles? Right now, I’m using up all my skincare and haircare products and only buying my top favorite product to replace them.
With so much available to us these days, it’s almost like an addiction to have every product out there and try the next best thing. But that drains your bank account, takes up mental space, and clutters your house.
Now that I’ve replaced my old shower caddy with easy-to-install black corner shelves, refillable amber glass bottles, and a small plant, I love how my shower looks.
I can live in small spaces as long as they are clean, organized, and beautiful. I’ll take cute and cozy over big and ugly any day, as the look and feel of my surroundings mean a lot to me.

How I Organized My Shower With Black Corner Shelves
Now let’s talk about transforming your shower from cluttered to simply beautiful with easy-to-install, no-drill matte black corner shower shelves, amber glass bottles, and labels.
I used these matte black corner shower shelves from Amazon, which are super easy to install. All you have to do is mark where you want to put them in your shower and stick them on.
The instructions say to let them sit for 24 hours before filling them with products. Mine were fine after 12 hours and have stayed stuck on with no problems, but I’d recommend following the 24-hour instructions.
Amber Glass Bottles and Shower Organization
I then found amber glass bottles at my local dollar store for $2 each (such a bargain!), but you can also find them on Amazon here.
I chose simple, plain bottles and then purchased water-resistant stickers from Amazon to label them.
Next came the organization: I decluttered my shower, put away anything I didn’t use daily, got rid of empty bottles, and refilled my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles.
If you use more products regularly, you can simply add more labeled bottles. But I wanted to keep it simple with minimalist shower organization essentials, so I used the top shelf for a plant and stored my razor and pumice stone there.
Anyone looking for DIY shower organization ideas will love how cost-effective and easy it is to transform a crowded shower into an organized, relaxing, spa-like space instead of an overwhelming one.
How a Beautiful, Organized Space Can Change How You Feel
Recently, I listened to a guy named Jason Shurka talk about how you can change your life from the inside out, or start by focusing on your external environment to shift your internal one.
So many people are constantly overwhelmed, with too many things on their to-do lists and too much stuff in their homes cluttering up their mental space.
So start small, such as organizing your shower to be simply beautiful, and see how it impacts your life and how you feel about the space you live in.
Before I organized my shower, I would always look at it and think, “Oh, I really need to empty those bottles that are pretty much finished,” and notice how it really didn’t look good.
But now that I’ve installed black corner shelves to match the rest of the shower, along with amber bottles and a little greenery, I notice how much I love it and how much better it looks!
