Chocolate Granola Recipe

This homemade chocolate granola recipe is nutritious and super easy to make.

  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  • ½ cup ground sesame seeds
  • ½ cup ground flax seeds
  • 1 cup rice malt syrup
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt


  • Grind flax and sesame seeds in a coffee grinder or nut and seed grinder.
  • Measure dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.
  • Melt coconut oil in a pot with rice malt syrup and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients then stir with a spoon.
  • Line 2 baking trays with baking paper and evenly spread raw granola on top.
  • Bake the chocolate granola for 20 mins @180° Celcius. Stir the granola after baking for 10 minutes.


Store the homemade chocolate granola in glass mason jars :)
