This vegan cashew caesar dressing recipe has been my new favorite creamy salad dressing. It is gluten-free, oil-free, and easy to make!
The key ingredient in this vegan Caesar dressing is raw cashews. Cashews are known for their creamy texture when blended and are the perfect base to make a rich and creamy vegan caesar salad dressing.
This cashew vegan Caesar dressing is made with whole food ingredients blended into an ultra-creamy salad dressing that is oil-free, creamy, rich, and tangy.
The main ingredients in this easy vegan Caesar dressing are cashews, fresh lemon juice, capers, nutritional yeast, garlic, dijon mustard, and Worchester sauce.
Season the dressing with additional salt and black pepper to taste. This vegan Caesar dressing recipe has a mild hint of garlic. I only added in ½ a clove of garlic to not overwhelm the taste buds with raw garlic.
But if you are a garlic lover and want to add more of a garlic kick to the cashew Caesar dressing, then, by all means, add in a clove or two of garlic.
The nutritional yeast adds a cheesy flavor that pairs perfectly with the dijon mustard and capers to season the homemade vegan Caesar dressing.
How to make a smooth and creamy vegan cashew caesar dressing
You will want to use a high-powered blender such as the optimum 9200 or Vitamix blender to get an ultra-smooth consistency. Blend all the ingredients for the cashew Caesar dressing on high for 30 seconds or until you reach a desired smooth consistency.
You can also use a food processor or immersion blender to blend the ingredients as well! I haven’t used a regular blender, but it would also work. You may need to scrape down the sides a couple of times or add more fresh water. Making sure you have enough water will help with the blending.
But if you have a powerful blender such as the Vitamix, you will have no problem making this vegan caesar dressing with cashews. In this day and age, you can make a creamy dressing using a variety and kitchen utensils.
So, hop into the kitchen with your favorite blending tool, measure all the ingredients, and blend. It is that simple to make this vegan cashew Caesar dressing.

Serving tips and substitutions
I love to make a vegan Caesar salad with it by serving this vegan cashew caesar dressing over some fresh romaine lettuce topped with cherry tomatoes and vegan coconut bacon bits. So yummy!
I also roast raw sunflower seeds and chickpeas in the oven with some tamari for hearty chickpea caesar salad. You can also swap the romaine lettuce with kale to make the best vegan kale caesar salad.
Adding in a little bit of parmesan cheese or vegan cheese to make a vegetarian Caesar salad is the best.
You can also add some dill to make a vegan ranch dressing to serve with chopped vegetables such as carrots, celery, red pepper, and cucumber for a healthy snack.
Soak cashews for 2 hours before blending to make an ultra-creamy dressing in no time. If you have a high-speed blender, you can still make a smooth and creamy dressing by blending until the desired consistency is reached.
Store the salad dressing in an airtight container, such as a mason jar, in the fridge to keep it fresh until ready to use.
You can also use garlic powder instead of a clove of garlic.
This oil free cashew dressing is very similar except it has a little more zing and spice and has a thinner consistency!
